Scarlet is our keeper girl from our 2020 “Operation Stealth pt.1” Litter (Bok Choy x Theo) - and she’s lived up to our expectations and more. We were hoping for a perfect combination of parents' and grandparents' genes in this litter, and we think we've gotten it with this little gal.

Scarlet takes after her mom, Theo, in the brains and beauty department. Her rich red color is easy on the eyes, and her ease at picking up new tasks during training makes her fun to work with.

Early in her training, Jen exclaimed, "She is the smartest whippet puppy I've ever trained!" - picking up quickly on every new skill, with minimal need to repeat her lessons.

Scarlet's put together very nicely, showing traits from both her daddy Bok Choy, with nice, solid muscling, and her mama Theo, with curves in all the right places. Her movement is smooth like her grandpa Jett, and her intelligence speaks to grandma Penelope's genes floating around in there.

She is a big girl, with a strong personality like her dad, Bok Choy…always a clown who is unaware of her size and strength. This made her early puppyhood a challenge; but as she’s matured, she’s grown a conscience - and though she still is boisterous, she tries very hard to please us.

From her grandma Bella, Scarlet has inherited that famous sighthound 'roaching' gene - and we catch her sleeping upside down, on her back, in her crate, when she thinks no one is watching.

And from grandpa Timmy, she's gotten just a dash of mischief. She's not above sneaking things off of countertops and then prancing about with her stolen item - waving it in the air as if to say, "This? Oh, this? You don't want me to have this?!"

Scarlet proudly carries the badge of ‘snake bite survivor’ (like several of our dogs) - when she took a bite to the face early in her first pregnancy. She came through the ordeal like a champ, and passed on rattlesnake venom antibodies to her litter - all named for various rattler species.

Scarlet proved to be a wonderful mother with that first litter - a real natural who has a strong affinity for caring for pups, much like her grandmother and our matriarch, the late great Penelope.

Overall, Scarlet is a smart, beautiful, fun loving girl to live with.
